“Putting it all together... in the past I’ve always been physically active ( squash, cycling, gym etc). But my idea of exercise was always to push myself hard and fast and try to win - measuring effort in sweat expended. But as I got older and had to deal with a condition that gave me chronic pain, I wanted to rethink my approach to exercise.

Ben has been a wonderful help in this. By starting from the simplest elements of breathing and moving and understanding how flexibility and correct movement can generate power and speed, we have worked together through a number of related programs involving elements of martial arts, boxing, kick-boxing, Tai-Chi and yoga to develop enjoyable, (and often intense), sessions. I feel stronger and more in control of my movements, better balanced and more flexible, (sometimes in ways I thought I’d lost). I also understand a lot more about the ‘science’ of boxing & martial arts, and how to bring together movement, strength and power.
